Moodle is a learning platform dedicated to teachers, admnistrators and students, it provides a unique robust, secured and private system that enables users worldwide to create a personalized learning environment.
Moodle is carried by an international community, an involded developers team and a certified patners network. This community is made of "Moodlers", some interract in forums or in the Moodle tracker (wher ethe community comment and provide feedback). The project is also being carried by volonteers that translate the content in over 140 languages. Finally, the community is supported by donations from learning institutions or individuals who are satisfied with the project.
Moodle beneficate to both big and small academic institutions, therefore including teachers and students but also businesses.
Moodle has more than 311 million users worldwide (242 countries), making it the most used learning platform. Thus, students, teachers, and businesses can access information through more than 180 000 webpages.
Moodle provides an easy access to learning by relying on the phisolophical concept of "social-constructive pedagogy". For instance, the learner's environment (read,see,hear,feel) is very very important, also we learn more by giving our task a purpose (explain what we have learnt), all of this in a same culture. Therefore, Moodle provides a better way of learning following this principle for its users.
Moodle answers to the need of an easy way of learning by providing its users with a website with a sign up option, then the website provides course contents and space for teachers to give activities and ressources and students can sign up to a course.
Moodle uses a open source learning management system and provides its users with for example customizable apps, cloud, learning hub, LMS.
